Snow Day

We had a couple of snow days last week, which kind of lasted into the weekend. I think the snow is beautiful and am always up for a good snow every now and then:).

Baxter and Lady both loved it because I was home most of the day with them, not to mention how much they love playing in the snow. Baxter always tries to catch the snow flakes, or actually I should say he tries to eat them since it is more of a biting than an open mouth catch. It always amazes me how two dogs that HATE the rain are up for playing outside in the snow. Maybe their curiosity gets the better of them.

From the looks of this picture, Baxter seems to be pretty unaffected by the snow:). He found a great spot to nap right in front of the heater. I hope that everyone was able to enjoy the snow as much as my cute little pups were. It looks like we are on to spring, as the snow is quickly melting outside in the rain. Oh well, it was fun for a few days and now I think I am ready for some warmer weather...which also means that we are getting closer to the arrival of Baby Don!!! Yippee.

He sure does love his Grandpa!!

Yesterday, most of my family spent the snow day at my parents house because we were all starting to go a little stir crazy. By the evening though, Griffey boy wasn't feeling too good. He had a fever and was just in a snugly mood. This kid sure does love his Grandpa!!!! He kept cuddling up to my Dad and giving him loves. It was too cute. He also has this new "funny" smile that he will do, where he scrunches his whole face up and closes his eyes. It is hilarious and he will do it whenever you ask him to. I tried to catch a picture of it, but by the time my phone would click the picture the smile would be gone. I will try again next time when he is feeling a little better. Griff is such a funny boy and always willing to try and entertain us and make us laugh.

I hope that everyone has been able to enjoy the snow and snuggle in at home!! Have a great rest of the weekend.

27 weeks...

Well, I am actually 28 weeks now, but this picture was taken last week. With the start of my 28th week, I am officially in my third trimester! Not much longer till baby Don gets here. I can't believe how fast it is going. At this point he should be weighing in around 2 1/4 lbs...getting big:). He has been very active lately, especially at night. I think he thought he was at a dance club a couple nights ago...needless to say, I had a little trouble sleeping. It's okay though, I like it when he moves all around like that because I know he is healthy and active.
I find myself getting distracted by his movements because I just want to sit and watch my tummy move when gets going. I just love my little buddy so much already and I can't wait to see his cute little face!

Happy Valentine's Day

To kick off the month of February my good friend Lauren held a Valentine's Day card making party. It was such a fun night!! She had all sorts of crafting products for us to use and had them set up so cute. Lauren always takes such care in making things thoughtful and presentable. She had spent much of the night before baking chocolate goodies for us to nibble on while making cards. Needless to say, I was a little "chocolate wasted" by the time I left.

Here is a picture of me and the card that I made for my Valentine. Even though the party was a couple weeks ago, I made Richie open the card when I got home that night and he looked so confused when he opened it and said, "but today isn't Valentine's Day." Such a boy:). We were at the small embossing table and she also had the larger dinning room table set up with goods (you can see it a little bit in the background). I was completely covered in glitter by the end of the night...the glitter was my favorite part:).
The Oly girls with the card that we made for Jenny, who couldn't be there because she lives so far away. We each took a turn putting something on the card and then signed it. That was probably the funniest part of the whole night! We based a lot of our card ideas on our trip to Napa last year. My cheeks hurt by the end of the night from laughing so much.

It was a great night with friends. I wish we would do things like that more often just for an excuse to get together and hang out. I love all these ladies:).

Happy Valentine's Day all! I hope that your day is filled with love...whether that love be from a sweetheart, family member, or dear friend...or from all of the above:).

Baby Joe...

...turns 20!!! I can't even believe that my baby brother is that old!!!!!

Joe was definitely a surprise blessing for my parents but I can't imagine what our lives would have been like without him. As my other siblings got older, I really feel like having Joe around kept us all together. When most teenagers are heading out with their friends, we all made a point to stick around to hang out with him and help to make his holidays or nights fun. Skinny Minnie...look at that cute little face!!

This was about the age that he was when he thought he was Batman. My Dad had to make extra Batman masks so that he always had one at hand. When he would put the mask on, we would all act scared because we didn't know who it was:). This sweet little boy would quickly tell us, "Is otay, is otay...ook into my eye ball. Is dus me!! Is dust doey!!"

Uh oh...someone looks mad...

Well, happy birthday sweet brother! I am blessed to have you as a sibling and friend. I love you Baby Joe.

Oh yeah...I can't wait for next year...Vegas baby!!!
